Science education is the foundation for innovation and a strong national economy. In Illinois and around the world, there is an urgent need to enhance scientific literacy, expand the science workforce and educate future generations of K-12 science teachers.
DePaul University is responding to this challenge through the Campaign
for Excellence in Science. As the centerpiece of the campaign, the new
Monsignor Andrew J. McGowan Science Building is crucial to providing
cutting-edge science education to future generations of DePaul students and science educators.

But the building is only one piece of the campaign. DePaul will also secure resources for new science scholarships and new academic programs to maximize the potential of the state-of-the-art science facility and our students.
We thank the Excellence in Science Campaign Steering Committee and the generous donors to the ongoing $20 million fundraising campaign for supporting the future of science education at DePaul.
